Peacheybyte Studios built Asset Curator as a commercial app. This page explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Summary

Asset Curator is designed to help users track and manage assets. The app primarily stores information entered by the user, such as asset records, locations, tags, maintenance information, and related images.

Peacheybyte Studios does not collect personal information directly through the app for its own independent storage or profiling.

Information the app may handle

Depending on how the app is used, Asset Curator may handle:

• Asset IDs, titles, descriptions, serial numbers, part numbers, and status information
• Location and tag data created by the user
• Maintenance records, counters, and schedules
• Photos selected or captured by the user for asset records
• Exported spreadsheet files created by the user
• Local or shared database files used by the app
• Purchase and subscription status provided through Google Play Billing

How information is used

The information handled by Asset Curator is used only to provide app functionality, including:

• Creating and updating asset records
• Displaying and searching stored asset information
• Generating QR codes and printable labels
• Running reports and maintenance analysis
• Exporting user data to spreadsheet files
• Enabling paid features through Google Play subscriptions or purchases
• Supporting optional sync features where available

Storage of data

Asset Curator mainly stores data locally on the user’s device.

Where the user chooses to use shared or synced database features, data may also be stored in locations selected and controlled by the user, such as shared folders, exported files, or external storage locations.

Peacheybyte Studios does not provide a hosted cloud account for storing Asset Curator user databases.

Photos and camera access

If the user chooses to attach photos to an asset, the app may access:

• the device camera
• media images selected by the user
• storage access required for older Android versions where applicable

These permissions are used only for app features chosen by the user.

QR codes and links

Asset Curator may generate QR codes that contain links or asset identifiers so that records can be opened quickly in the app. These codes are generated for user convenience and asset identification.

Billing and subscriptions

If the user purchases or subscribes through Google Play, billing information is handled by Google Play and subject to Google’s own terms and privacy practices.

Asset Curator may store local purchase status or entitlement information so paid features can be enabled correctly.

Data sharing

Peacheybyte Studios does not sell user data.

The app does not share asset data with third parties except where necessary to provide core platform functions chosen by the user, such as:

• Google Play Billing
• opening exported files in other apps
• sharing exported files using the device’s normal share options

Data retention and deletion

Because most data is stored locally or in user-controlled files, users can delete their information by:

• deleting records inside the app
• deleting exported files
• removing shared database files they created
• uninstalling the app, subject to normal Android storage behaviour

Children’s privacy

Asset Curator is not specifically directed to children.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any updated version will be published at this page.
